Arizona Flag Shot Glass
This shot glass showcases our beautiful, vibrant State Flag. The State of Arizona was admitted to the union on February 14, 1912. The flag was officially adopted on February 17, 1917. The bright red and yellow rays symbolize the sunshine we get so much of here and were inspired by the colors of the Coronado Expedition in the 1540s, when the Spanish were looking for the Seven Cities of Cibola. The five pointed copper star recognizes the fact that Arizona produces more copper than any other state in the United States. It also pays homage to the five C's: Cattle, Citrus, Climate, Copper, and Cotton. The only place where you'll see more state flags flying than Arizona is Texas.
