Gold Rush Days

A Wickenburg tradition for over sixty years, Gold Rush Days is the largest annual event in Wickenburg. It is estimated that over 50,000 people make the trip "Out Wickenburg Way" for this very special three-day event. Gold Rush Days occurs in the second full weekend of February each year. The schedule is available from the Chamber of Commerce.

Gold Rush days has something for everyone. There's a midway set up right in the downtown all three days. Things get under way with a gunfight on historic Frontier Street. Rodeos run in the Bowman Arena all weekend. Saturday is host to one of the largest parades in Arizona, with entries coming close to or exceeding 1,000 horses. There's plenty of food, arts, crafts, and contest events all over town. The nights are filled with dances, old-time melodramas in the historic Saguaro Theater, and the carnival near the Community Center. Gold Rush Days is a wonderful, old-time Western sort of event, and it defines Wickenburg as an important part of the Western cultural scene. Come join us!
