Rex Allen, Jr. & Rex Allen, Sr. - The
Singing Cowboys
Rex Allen Sr. grew
up in Wilcox, Arizona. An influential singer in the Western Music Scene, he rose
to prominence and became the country's number one box office attraction. If
you've spent some time here in Arizona, you may have heard "Arizona",
Rex's ballad about our fine state that is known as the unofficial or second
state anthem.
For this album, producer and singer in his own right Rex Allen Jr. joins up
with dear old dad to "Put Western back in the Country Sound." This
includes everything from Cowboy classics like "When The Work's All Done
This Fall" to paying homage to the late Roy Rogers with "Last of the Silver
Screen Cowboys."
