prolific of all the Silver Screen Cowboys, Roy Rogers and his sweetheart Dale
Evans have been delighting children while delivering important moral messages
for generations. Like fellow Western Artist Gene Autry, Roy started out from
humble origins and eventually transitioned into the music business. His crowning
achievement was the founding of the Sons of the Pioneers in 1934. Before long,
he had found favor with the film industry and was playing supporting roles in
Gene Autry movies. Like Gene, Roy had his own radio program which eventually
evolved into a Television show. Besides TV and his acting, Roy continued
full-tilt in the music business. He has no less than three different stars on
the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
