Effie C. Turquoise and Coral Squash Blossom Necklace Set
The
Squash Blossom Necklace has long been the centerpiece of Southwestern Indian
Jewelry. It is hard to find Squash Blossom Necklaces today that have the heft
and elegance of yesteryear. Effie Calavaza, of course, does not disappoint.
She's been doing work like this since 1956, and has stayed true to tradition. As
always, her pieces have the characteristic snake with the inlaid eyes. This
necklace has all the stampings and markings that make an Effie piece what it is.
The earrings included in the set are very similar to our other pair of Effie C. Turquoise and Coral Post Earrings,
but with coral eyes rather than the turquoise. The double bead chain is a
wonderful touch, and really adds to the piece in terms of a classic feel.
