This story is about a poet that wants to be a Cowboy more than anything else in the world. This dude's got a ways to go, but a thunderstorm during his first drive gives him the chance to use his skills and stand out as a real Cowboy fit to ride at the front of the herd. It's a humorous account for adults, too, about the advent of Cowboy Poetry. It's sort of like Baxter Black for kids.
